Please join us for the launch of eight new ciders/perries from Ross-on-Wye Cider & Perry, on Thursday 31st August at 7pm start, in the Main Barn at Broome Farm. We will be debuting the new, exciting, and totally unique vintage of Raison d’Être – 2021 – as well as three beautifully sparkling perries and four varied, complex ciders! Taste all of these alongside the exceptional cold plated buffet from Hancocks Meadow Farm.
We will taste: 2022 Handsome Norman Cider – a blend of ‘Norman’ apple varieties with a special fruit-forward flavour celebrating Norman the dog 2022 Foxwhelp Cider S.V. – our prizewinning Foxwhelp at this year’s International Cider Competition at the Museum of Cider – a Foxwhelp like no other we have made before 2021 Green Horse S.V. Perry – A precious drink made from trees we have since had to cut down. Perry to be savoured 2022 Thorn, Flakey & Friends Perry – One of the most drinkable, jammy, delicious, balanced perries we have ever made! 2020 Flakey Bark S.V. Perry – The return of the iconic variety, after three years of maturation. Tannic, fruity, bizarre, Flakey Bark at its best. 2017 – 2019 – 2021 ‘Shall We Take A Walk Through Time?’ Cider – Our semi-solera, semi-traditional method cider, with complexity, depth, layers of tannin, and glorious vinous quality 2021 Yarlington Mill S.V. Cider – Our first Yarlington Mill for a few years, long-developed in the bottle, a juicy expression of the apple 2021 Raison d’Être Cider – The first ever non-smokey Raison. Yes, really. Something very different but still the Dabinett & Bisquet blend we love!
Alongside the drinks we will be serving a special seated buffet-style meal from Hancocks Meadow Farm.
Seasonal and home produced cheeses tasting plate featuring the first taste of 2023 Valley Drover and a new cheese we are very excited about. Accompanied by home made Hancocks meadow farm speciality’s and freshly made lough pool artisan bread.
Our cheese is unpasteurised and not vegetarian, but vegetarian and pasteurised cheeses will be available.
The cost is £21 per adult. Accompanied children are allowed to attend and will have apple juice instead of alcoholic drinks. This ticket covers all your tasters during the event and the food.
Cider Club will be spaced out on tables of 7 or 8 instead of in theatre style. Groups of less than 8 will be merged together. Please make a note of who your friends are if you are booking tickets separately.
Cider Club is open to all – you don’t have to be a festival ticket holder to come along, it is a stand-alone event. Your festival ticket does not get you entry.
Tickets may be available on the door but we can only guarantee you food if you pre-book.
If you have dietary requirements, especially allergies, please let us know in the ‘Notes’ box on the checkout page.
Once Cider Club has concluded, the festival bar will be open with all these ciders and more available to continue the merriment!
