Ciderganza at the Yew Tree Inn
Friday 3rd April – Sunday 5th April 2026
Our annual cider festival over the Easter weekend in our pub and large pub garden, featuring over 20 draught ciders and 60 bottled ciders.
Guided cider tastings will be led by fourth generation cidermaker and farmer Albert Johnson, on Friday and by titan of British cidermaking and founder of Ross-on-Wye Cider & Perry, Mike Johnson on Saturday. These tastings will be held in our beautiful Event Room with stunning wall mural of cidermaking through the seasons on Broome Farm.
On Sunday we will be hosting an open day at the farm for you to come and see us in action in our top-working farm diversification project! Our mission is to save historic varieties and preserve genetic diversity in apples for future generations, and we hope to make some unusual and delicious ciders from it as well.
Firebird Kitchen will be serving their outstanding wood-fired pizzas across the weekend.
Free entry for the whole weekend except the ticketed cider tastings.
Camping and Caravanning is available for the weekend on Broome Farm or at the Yew Tree Inn. Click here to book.

Ciderganza Tasting - Single Variety Cider - Friday 3rd April
Join Albert Johnson, fourth-generation farmer and perrymaker, for a guided tasting of single variety ciders. Hosted in our beautiful event room with stunning wall mural of the cidermaking season on Broome Farm, join Albert to explore the full spectrum of flavours of cider produced by Ross-on-Wye Cider & Perry Company. We’ll taste a range of different single varieties, from the sharpest, most acidic end of the spectrum to the most bitter and most astringent apples we grow! Then we’ll experiment with blending them together to get an understanding of this core art at the heart of cidermaking.
Ciderganza Orchard Tour & Guided Tasting - Saturday 4th April
Join Mike Johnson, third-generation farmer and founder of Ross-on-Wye Cider & Perry, for a guided orchard walk around our farm, followed by a tutored tasting of our favourite ciders and perries.
The tasting will be in our beautiful event room with stunning wall mural of the cidermaking season on Broome Farm.
Expect the orchard walk to last around 45 minutes, with the tasting to last an hour to follow. Please wear suitable footwear (wellies ideal!) for an orchard and note that the terrain is hilly and uneven. To join in just with the tasting side, send us a message on our socials or email shop@rosscider.com
Ciderganza Tasting - Grafting Open Day - Sunday 5th April
Take our orchard walk from the Yew Tree and find us in the orchard to discover our top-working project. We began adding new varieties through this grafting process in 2019, taking our farm from growing around 100 varieties of apple to more than 150.
