CIDER SCHOOL – Monday June 10th
Cider. We all want to sell more of it, but how? Do you and your staff want to become more passionate and more informed? Do you work for a bar, restaurant, bottle shop or deli that doesn’t really get cider, but are personally interested? If you work in hospitality or retail, we want you to come to Cider School!
• Take the chance to find out about cider in one of its key heartlands.
• Walk the orchards and taste the ciders made from those trees.
• Hear how keg is revolutionising craft cider sales.
• Find out from the leaders how 75cl bottles can significantly add to your repertoire.
• Enjoy a generously sized lunch with beautiful locally matched cider pairings.
Cider and Perry are amazing drinks – made with great provenance, sustainability and history – and we need your help to tell their story. Drinkers love experiencing new, authentic flavours and aromas and cider and perry can captivate and mesmerize them!
Interest and appreciation of craft/natural/real cider is greater than ever before, with more producers and more quality in the industry, they also offer distinct selling opportunities. With their link to the land, with the opportunity to connect with the makers, not to mention unrealised food matching potential, these are the drinks that could wow your customers. But it needs you to give them the steer.
To achieve the best sales and repeat custom in your bar, attend Cider School to get all the tools, tips and knowledge to share the story of Cider.

Vehicle Camping Pass
If you wish to bring your motorhome/caravan/trailer etc to Broome Farm for the Cider Festival, you must purchase this pass. This is to help us to spend the time and effort preparing the spaces for your vehicles, for both your security and ours. We have noticed an increased number of caravans coming to the festival in recent years and our stewards have to work harder than ever to make it all work!
You only need one of these per vehicle, for the entire festival, Thursday to Sunday. Please note you still need to pay for a full event ticket with camping – (£65 per person). If you are confused about anything, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email – info@rosscider.com
Please see the below map to help you plan where you would like to camp.

Cider Challenge
Cider Challenge at the yew tree inn
Saturday 27th July 2024
A peer-judged cider and perry competition.
Taking place over a weekend, with the judging on Saturday, the Yew Tree Cider Challenge is a cider competition inspired by the Big Apple Cider Trials, with peer-judging and complete transparency.
All ciders and perries should be pure juice, with no artificial sweeteners. There are no restrictions on who can enter.
We have combined this with a pub cider festival where the entries are on sale and profits from the sale of your cider or perry will go to our charity of the year.
Each year in 2019, 2022 and 2023 we raised an incredible £1000 for charity, donating the money to Hope Support Services in 2019 and 2023, and to Tree Aid in 2022. So come along and join in and raise some money whilst drinking cider!
This event is free entry to the public.
Camping and Caravanning is available for the weekend on Broome Farm or at the Yew Tree Inn. Click here to book.
